Spotted Sandpiper

After feeling beat up with the challenges of photographing schooners, I can get back to something I’m more comfortable with. This is a Spotted Sandpiper I found feeding in the seaweed washed up on the rocks at Eastern Point. This bird is an adult in non-breading plumage. Next April or May, it will develop the characteristic spots on its breast for which it was named.
